Cancer Bash

In September of 2012, the Shelby County Cancer Association organized the first of their Annual Cancer Bashes. Our next Cancer Bash will be September 28th, 2024. This event will be held at the American Legion Post #70 on Miller Avenue in Shelbyville.

The event includes dinner, 50/50 drawing, a raffle, door prizes, a live auction, and a silent auction.

Tickets for this year’s event will go on sale middle of August.

All proceeds go to support the operations of the Cancer Association throughout the year.

Join us for fun events that bring attention to and raise funds for a worthwhile cause.

Rock-A-Thon

The annual Rock-A-Thon is used to raise funds and bring attention to the cancer cause at various locations in Shelby County. These funds are then used to support those fighting against the disease.

Participants can compete against other volunteers to see who can raise the most money in their rocking chair.  The winner will receive a rocking chair of their very own!!

I want to thank everyone who helped with the 2014 Bears of Blue River Rock-a-thon.  Except for the weather, we had a great time. We had great Rockers and I want to thank all the participants.
